St Martin’s Building Fund benefits from significant donations from Charities.

Marshall’s Charity, founded in 1631 makes grants for the restoration, repair or improvement of existing churches in Kent, Surrey or Lincolnshire, The charity made a grant of £12,000 towards St Martin’s Church repair fund. We are extremely grateful for their support and generosity.

The Friends of Kent Churches, whose Ride and Stride we have supported for many years awarded St Martin’s a generous £10,000 towards our church repairs for which we are very grateful. We also thank them for supporting our application to the National Churches Trust. We are now members of The Friends of Kent Churches.

The National Churches Trust has generously awarded St Martin’s £5,000 towards our church repairs. We are very grateful and are becoming Friends of The National Churches Trust

FKC and NCT usually make donations to historic buildings. However, St Martins building made an impression on the charity members who visited and they responded by making the maximum donations to us that their rules permit!

The significant grants from these 3 charities, added to generous donations and our own fundraising efforts, enabled us to reach our £50,000 target for church building repairs.

We publicly acknowledge our gratitude to Marshalls Charity, the Friends of Kent Churches and the National Churches’ Trust. THANK YOU!
