Parish Magazine

St Martin’s with St Hilary’s has been producing a parish magazine at least since 1961, and probably before that. Its current name is the Focus Magazine, it is published monthly, and we produce 10 issues each year – the months of July & August and December & January are normally combined. Some 200 copies are produced and circulated for each issue.

The content is varied ranging from news and articles submitted by our own clergy and church community to material drawn from the wider Anglican church, mixed with prayers, poems, children’s pages, crossword and occasional humorous pieces.

To help fund the cost of producing the magazine it also carries advertising by local businesses. Should anyone reading this be interested in advertising in the magazine please contact the editor.

The current charge for each issue can be found in our

‘Price List’. If you would like to subscribe and receive regular copies please contact the editor. There is a small team of volunteer distributors who deliver within the parish. Failing that there are always some spare copies at the back of the church, which people can purchase. Most of the income from the magazine goes towards the costs of producing it but any profit that is generated is put into church funds.
