Music is an important part of our worship as it expresses feelings and emotions in a deeper way than words alone and enables the whole congregation to join in praising God together. The music is led by our Music Group and we sing a variety of traditional hymns and modern worship songs.

St Martin’s Music Group is a small group of singers who practice each Wednesday in the Church, we start at 7.30pm and the session normally last about an hour. We begin with some refreshments and a social chat together then we sing through the hymns/songs in preparation for the following Sunday. If you enjoy singing then why not come along and join us, or maybe you’re not a singer but can play a musical instrument whichever your gift is please do let us know.

Also, in preparation for Christmas each year a larger group is formed for a Christmas Choir and we practice from the beginning of November for a traditional Christmas Carol Service.

1. Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD;
   let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.
